Low Carb Chocolate Cheesecake Recipe
If you just start on the low carb diet and you cannot help but crave for sweets, here is an easy low carb dessert recipe.
Ingredients:
8 ounces cream cheese
1 egg
1 cup hot water
3 teaspoons gelatine
1 cup sugar equivalent
1 cup cream
4 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 tablespoon rum – optional
Preparation:
Melt gelatine in hot water, let it cool.
Soften cream cheese. In mixer, whip up cream cheese, egg and sweetener until well blended.
Add cocoa and gelatine mixture, whip well. Whip and cream and mix in well.
Pour into dish and refrigerate until set.
16 g carbs for entire cheesecake. Divide by how many slices you cut.

“1 cup sugar equivalent” WHY? Why not do without the sweet stuff. Give it a miss for a while and your tastebuds will re-adjust and you will find sweetness is quite yucky and totally unnecessary. Besides artificial sweeteners have their own problems and aren’t any better for you.
Yes, Alan, I agree, without any sweetener is even better… some people would rather have it a bit sweet though.
