Here is a simple, yet very tasty low carb side dishes recipe. I am a huge fan of mushrooms and who doesn’t love bacon! Only a few minutes of prep of time and about 15 minutes of total cooking time, most of it just steaming the green beans.

Ingredients
- 6 pieces bacon (chopped)
- 1/2 cup onion (chopped)
- 4 ounces mushrooms (canned or fresh)
- 16 ounces green beans (frozen or fresh)
- 1 1/2 tsp granular Splenda
- salt to taste

Instructions
- In a large skillet. cook bacon until crispy then set aside.
- Leave some bacon dripping sin the skillet (about 2 tbsp).
- Saute onions in skillet until tender.
- Add mushrooms to skillet and cook approximately 2 minutes on medium heat.
- Add Splenda, green beans and the salt (to taste).
- Cover and cook for 10 minutes.
- Add bacon at end.
